Can you help me with my Prestige remote starter for my car?
I recently purchased a car that had a mark prestige remote starter installed. Not sure what model number, but the important thing is the standard distance of 4 button layout with a flashlight on the side. The buttons are for: to close the doors opening doors Honking Starter Now the problem. Despite changing the batteries immediately, functions does not seem to want to work. In fact, work the same as before changing the battery. The red LED illuminates when you press a button, probably for a connection of any kind is done. The function lantern runs at 100% of the time and the first attempt. Just to lock or unlock the doors requires a few seconds pushing and pressing the button again. Initiate remote rarely works at all. I do not use the horn button often enough to judge, but it is probably the same. Those of you with more experience suggest anything else I could try? The problem is most likely on the remote or in the system?
Get back to the place that installed it. It seems that the receiver is mounted in a location that is protected by the vehicle body and the signal can not reach. Reassemble the receiver must correct their problems. In the meantime, try to maintain a control on the head when the fob button is pressed. Sometimes, giving a clear "see" through windows and under the dash (rather than the metal door) can help.
